A Late Summer Holiday

A change is as good as a rest and even a short break – particularly without time in an airport clearing customs – can really recharge the batteries.

Late summer/early autumn is a great time to travel in New Zealand – often the weather is temperate and golden, and the visitor hot spots breathe a sigh of relief as the crowds recede to work, be  that at home or in an official office.

A holiday park is a very viable accommodation option year-round if located in a region of predominantly settled weather such as Tāhuna Beach Holiday Park is, basking in the high-sunshine hours  of Nelson Tasman, with beautiful scenery and plentiful activity options. This particular holiday park is located behind the popular Tāhunanui Beach, a much-loved stretch of coastline that  consistently appears in the best beach lists including being third nationwide for Best City Beach in the Herald Travel’s annual Best Beach competition January 2025 and one of only three South  Island spots to make the Top 50 Beaches of New Zealand, voted at the end of 2024.

Spread across 22 hectares with 1km of shorefront, Tāhuna Beach Holiday Park’s accommodation options include contemporary motel units, cosy cabins with shared facilities, and hundreds of  powered or nonpowered sites for campervans, caravans and tents. Several on-site playgrounds, a giant bouncing pillow, mini golf, petanque, pedal-karts, mega swing, tandem flying fox and bike  hire keep guests busy, while attractions such as Pro-Karts, Natureland Zoo, trampolining and roller skating, plus several dining options, are within easy walking distance.

Enjoy the simplicity of a holiday park for your next break.
