Botanic Gardens

Breathe in the fresh air and admire the changing colours of the season with a leisurely walk through Hagley Park and the Botanic Gardens.  For the playful at heart, there’s nothing quite like jumping in mounds of fallen crunchy leaves. Supa Karts Supa Karts have a great variety of  different race types, race speeds at Supa Karts Next Level, that allows them to cater from children as young as 4 years old, and their oldest  racers are in their 90’s. They have family rides, adult rides, race meets and competitions/leagues available. Their karts  here are the fastest go karts in New Zealand with a maximum speed of 35kph, the maximum legal limit for indoor racing. Christchurch Adventure Park

With New Zealand’s longest and highest zipline rides, expertly wrapped up in a 2.5 hour guided 4 zip adventure, you will have an  unforgettable and unique experience. They have got the highest (at 150 metres) and the longest ( just over 1 kilometre) ziplines in New  Zealand.

The 1.8km, 8 minute chairlift ride to the best views in Canterbury from the top of the Port Hills alone is a sightseer’s dream. Take a return  trip on the chairlift or take in the stunning views on the walking tracks. Their awesome machine and hand-built mountain bike trails are a  riders dream. We offer guided lessons to make the most of the trails, or just chill out on the large deck of the Adventure Park Café and Bar  nestled in the pine forest.


Daytrip to a Winery

Autumn is harvest time for our vineyards, and is a great opportunity to head out of the city for a few hours sipping award-winning vintages at some of North Canterbury’s superb wineries. Enjoy wine tastings, delicious food and gorgeous scenery.

Head to the Hills

The Port Hills are home to a variety of tracks for both technical and non-technical bike riders with the added bonus of spectacular views!  Autumn is the perfect climate to head out and explore the trails! Christchurch is filled with fantastic walking tracks to explore. Whether  you’re looking for a leisurely stroll or a more vigorous adventure, there’s something for every energy level. It’s time to take advantage of the longer days before they disappear!

Farmers’ Markets

Enjoy a buzzing atmosphere in a charming setting at Christchurch Farmers’ Market. Held at historic Riccarton House every Saturday morning. Meats, cheeses, fruit and vegetables sit alongside superb coffee and goodies to enjoy while you’re strolling around. With over 300  stalls Riccarton Market is Christchurch’s largest market. Held every Sunday from 9am – 2pm there’s always a bargain or tasty treat to be  found.

In the heart of the city overlooking the Avon River, Riverside Market operates 7 days a week and provides a unique farmers’ market  experience. Indulge in locally sourced fare, numerous restaurants and all-round good vibes. There’s nothing like buying in season!
