For a deeper connection, head to Sanctuary Mountain Maungatautari, a haven for native wildlife such as kiwi, kokako, kakapo, tuatara and more. Walk through ancient, predator-free forest and discover native wildlife and flora in a protected environment. The Rongoā Rākau tour offers insight into Māori plant medicine, sharing knowledge of how native plants have traditionally been used.
After a day of activity, relaxation comes easily in Waikato.
