Dunedin’s Triple Treat

Local historian, Gregor Campbell, has been featured in Frommers, on the cover of NZ Heritage Magazine, and local newspapers for his  discoveries and tours. He will guide you around the most beautiful parts of Ōtepoti Dunedin while you sit back in a brand new minibus (with  plenty of room for purchases!) listening to stories that bring our city to life.

Tales From Darkest Dunedin has collaborated with two award winning and very unique distilleries to offer you a chance to taste and  experience their product and creative processes.

Crafted by hand on the Otago Peninsula, Sandymount’s premium spirits are inspired by the beautiful landscape around the distillery and  made sustainably, using solar energy and ingredients sourced from the surrounding environment. Dunedin Craft Distillers is the first   distillery in Aotearoa and one of only a handful worldwide, to craft premium spirits from surplus bread and bakery products that would  otherwise go to landfill. Find out how they do it. Lunch includes spectacular views overlooking Dunedin city, Luna bar and restaurant is one  of Dunedin’s best spots to enjoy New Zealand hospitality.

To end a day of tastings, cuisine and history, we have a special opportunity to take a tour of the 120 year old Olveston Historic Home and  relax in the Billiard Room with a cheese platter and an aperitif. For lovers of fine, boutique spirits, Dunedin is a must do location and growing everyday. We’re looking forward to your visit!
